Sunshine Noir contemporary Californian artist Tracy Sylvester Harris has her very own way of linking past and present.Inspired by snapshots and film stills from the middle of the 20th century, her clear and yet mysterious, colourful and yet melancholy paintings reflect the eternal topics of human existence: desire and loss, beauty and transitoriness, loneliness and the multi-layered weave of human relationships. The beach and pool scenes created from the middle of the 2010s onwards are examples of the recent vintage trend only from a superficial point of view, for example, Beach Ukulele , Diving Board Tea for Two or Summer Delight .
