This cultural landscape report (CLR) documents the physical history of the Wayside Unit, with particular attention to the composition of the landscape in 1904, the centennial of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s birth. This information provides a basis for the development of a treatment plan for the rehabilitation of the landscape to c. 1904 which coincides with the rehabilitation date identified for the interior of the house.
